24th July 2010 My latest book Forgotten Heroes Zulu & Basuto Wars 1877-8-9 has just been added to the series. Over 36,600 men are listed with medal entitlement, casualty lists and troop deployments together with numerous biographical details. Books are available from Amazon or direct from Medal Collector. I have just up-dated the ”Full List” which contains the entire database of my collection of medals collected over the last 30 – 40 years. The main reason for this feature is to enable people to search the spreadsheet for their interests. For additional information and scans email: roy.dutton@gmail.com. I am a member of the Orders and Medals Research Society OMRS - 6657
You can purchase in confidence, all medals are full-size, genuine with the correct naming. |

I have personally collected medals for the past 35 years. My main interests are in Medals awarded to the Heavy and Light Brigade during the Crimean war. Also newspaper cuttings, survivor photographs and almost anything on the subject. All medals being sold are part of my own personal collection. Medal collecting is an interesting and varied hobby, I find it very humbling to hold medals which once belonged to an individual who has served his country, or even carried out acts of heroism and in some instances paid ultimate sacrifice. I feel that it is important to preserve our heritage for future generations, and I think our pastime goes a long way to achieving this. | ||
